An internship at Sawyerville is not your average summer job. Sawyerville interns take on real, meaningful work; they build strong relationships; and they play an integral role in the summer's success. You can read about one intern's experience on our blog.
Internships begin May 14-16, 2017 (depending on the position) and end July 19, 2017. Interns will spend the first and last few weeks in Birmingham working out of the offices of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. If necessary, housing will be provided in Birmingham and Greensboro. Some meals will be provided in Birmingham and almost all meals will be provided in Greensboro. Each intern will receive a competitive stipend.
Young people who are at least one year out of high school (generally 19+) are encouraged to apply. Sawyerville welcomes and encourages people of all races, genders, and religious affiliations to apply for an internship.
Applications open November 20, 2017 and close January 2, 2018. Interviews will be conducted in person and online on January 6, 2018. Hiring decisions will be made in January.
